Five individuals with disabilities initiated the formation of a sports committee, which later evolved into an official club in 1993. Despite limited financial and technical resources, the Club attained international recognition with the support of the UAE’s leadership.
Women also gained prominence, leading to the establishment of the Ladies Club in 2002 by the directive of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The division supports and promotes women in sports, social, and cultural activities.
Innovation is the key as the Club strives to provide the best possible platform and foster excellence in sports, providing diverse opportunities for over 350 members.
Athletes in various disciplines of Paralympics, Special Olympics and Deaflympics are provided training facilities at the Club nurturing them to elite athletes. Membership is free and the Club ensures participation in both local and international competitions.
